Following the approval of proposals for spot Ethereum ETFs, the crypto community has been eagerly anticipating the launch of the first ETH ETF. Some industry experts predict that at least one of these approved ETFs could go live by July 15. 

Nate Geraci, president of the ETF Store, shared on X that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) could approve the necessary S-1 filings by July 12, allowing the Ethereum ETF to start trading on July 15. Geraci’s predictions are consistent with those of Bloomberg crypto analyst Eric Balchunas, who mentioned that the SEC had set July 8 as the deadline for ETF issuers to amend their S-1 forms before the potential launch of the ETH ETF.

Geraci stated that if all goes according to plan, the anticipated Spot Ethereum ETF could start trading three days after the final S-1 filings, potentially launching by mid-July. 

Similarly, Steve Kurz, head of asset management at Galaxy Digital, has predicted that the SEC will approve the Ethereum ETF for trading before the end of July. In an interview with Bloomberg, Kurz mentioned that he expects the approval to come within weeks, not days, but still within July. He highlighted that his firm has been working with the commission for months and that their upcoming ETH ETF is similar to their established spot Bitcoin ETF.

Furthermore, the upcoming launch of spot Ethereum ETFs is anticipated to be a game-changer for the global cryptocurrency industry, offering traders new opportunities to buy or sell Ethereum at specific prices. Despite Bitcoin’s current low volatility, Ethereum is expected to experience a downward trend.

Both the American and German governments plan to trade seized Bitcoin and Ethereum on the open market, leading to the approval of these ETFs. This trend is predicted to be short-term, with increased market volatility expected soon.
