Ripple Co-Founder Chris Larsen Donates $10 Million to Support Kamala Harris.

Ripple co-founder and Executive Chairman, Chris Larsen announced that he has given an extra $10 million to the Ripple-tied coin (XRP) in an effort to help Vice President Kamala Harris, who will fight former President Donald Trump in next month’s election.

According to Federal Election Commission records, Larsen previously gave $1,750,000 to the PAC. Notably, Future Forward PAC, which uses Coinbase Commerce to convert cryptocurrency donations to stablecoins, has gathered more than $200 million from well-known donors.

Moreover, Larsen has also contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democratic congressional campaigns.

It’s time for the Democrats to take a fresh approach to tech innovation, including cryptocurrency, Larson wrote, adding that he was confident Harris would make certain that American technology dominated the world.

Ripple Moves $109M in XRP Amid SEC Case; Legal Team Optimistic

Ripple has transferred $109 million worth of 200,000,000 XRP tokens to a wallet no one knows about. Given that this occurred just before Ripple’s next stage of litigation against the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it is noteworthy that it happened now.

Since the massive XRP transfer occurred during the SEC appeal, many wonder what Ripple is doing. The decision of Judge Analisa Torres, who previously sided with Ripple and ruled that selling XRP on exchanges did not violate US securities laws, is likely to be directly challenged in the appeal.

Stuart Alderoty, Ripple’s chief legal officer, discussed the possible outcomes of the appeal. The best possible result for the SEC, he argued, would be to have the matter remanded to Judge Torres.

However, Alderoty clarified that the SEC would have a hard time appealing the ruling, stating: “The SEC may end up suggesting Judge Torres that she wasn’t someone of ‘ordinary intelligence’ when she ruled against them.” Meanwhile, despite the continuing litigation, Ripple’s legal staff is hopeful about their position in the case.

MetaMask Integrates with XRP Ledger Amid XRP Transfer

Meanwhile, Ripple announced the integration of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) with the Web3 wallet service MetaMask during the big XRP transfer. Users of MetaMask can now interact with the XRP Ledger directly from their wallets thanks to the integration of XRPL Snap.

This integration supports XRP account management, transaction signing, and interaction with XRPL-based decentralized applications (dApps).

Moreover, developers and retail audiences will have easier access to XRP and the XRPL thanks to the integration, which will allow the XRP Ledger to be brought to MetaMask’s 30 million monthly active users.

Users looking to integrate with the XRP Ledger can take advantage of the new tool’s features, which include network flexibility, security checks, and developer documentation.
