XRP is being watched closely as speculation grows over a spot XRP ETF. The price is at $2.08, down 3.22% in the last 24 hours, with 24 hour volume of $3 billion.
Despite the short-term dip, interest remains elevated after Grayscale’s official application and the May 22, 2025 SEC deadline.
Kaiko, a crypto data firm, has XRP as the top contender for spot ETF approval due to:
Deeper market than other altcoins
Active ETF filings, including Grayscale’s
Institutional interest and consistent trading volume
These make XRP the next crypto to be wrapped in an ETF, potentially opening it up to more investors and inflows.
Liquidity and Legal Wins Drive XRP Optimism
Liquidity is key to ETF eligibility and XRP excels in this regard. With global trading volume consistently in the top 5 and deep order books across major exchanges, XRP meets ETF requirements. High liquidity means smoother execution and less slippage—important for fund managers and retail traders.
Market Cap: $121.3 billion
Circulating Supply: 58.3 billion XRP
Max Supply: 100 billion XRP
Price Range (Q1): $1.60 – $2.20
And then there was the March 19 announcement by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse that the SEC dropped its case against Ripple. XRP went up 14.79% to $2.57. While macro headwinds and geopolitical tensions in early April sent it back down to $1.69, XRP has shown resilience.
On-chain data and technicals also look good. The RSI is at 60, showing balanced momentum and the 50 day EMA is at $2.03—now a level to watch.
XRP/USD Technicals: Is a Pullback Next?
From a technical standpoint, XRP’s drop below the trendline and 50-EMA means bullish momentum is fading. Price is stuck at $2.08 with $2.11 as short term resistance. The RSI is at 39, not oversold.

If XRP breaks below $2.06 on volume, traders can look for support at:
$2.00
$1.92
But if XRP takes out $2.11 with strength, it could be a fresh rally to $2.25 and higher if ETF speculation heats up.
Beginner Trade:
Short Entry: Below $2.06 on confirmation
Target Range: $2.00 – $1.92
Stop Loss: $2.12
Pro Tip: Let the trend confirm your trade—don’t rush. ETF news can be volatile, so use stop losses wisely.
