Nvidia will build AI supercomputers in U.S For First Time
Nvidia announced that it is collaborating with partners to plan and construct factories that will produce AI supercomputers exclusively in the United States for the first time.
According to a formal statement, the tech giant has acquired over one million square feet of manufacturing space in Arizona to develop and test its Blackwell AI chips and in Texas to construct supercomputers.
Blackwell chip production has started at TSMC in Phoenix, and supercomputer plants are being developed with Foxconn in Houston.
Mass production will start at Texas locations within 12 to 15 months. Nvidia has partnered with Amkor and SPIL to support packaging and testing operations in Arizona.
The business claimed that the supply chain for AI chips and supercomputing needs cutting-edge testing, packaging, and manufacturing technologies. According to the company, “NVIDIA plans to produce up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure in the United States within the next four years through partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL.”.
“These industry titans are strengthening their alliance with NVIDIA, developing their companies, broadening their global reach, and fortifying supply chain resilience. “As the foundation of a new generation of data centers devoted to artificial intelligence, or ‘AI factories,’ Nvidia’s AI supercomputers will support a quickly expanding industry.
