World’s richest man takes bet on Donald Trump

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man stated on X that he “fully” supports Donald Trump, only seconds after the former president and likely Republican nominee was hurried off stage by secret service agents after gunfire at a Pennsylvania event on Saturday.

Musk tweeted on his platform, X, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”

Elon Musk restored his position as the richest person in the world, surpassing Jeff Bezos, the man who built Amazon, the most valued e-commerce company in the world. Based on Bloomberg estimates, Musk is the richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of $264 billion.

Tesla is the most valuable car company in the world, and Musk is its CEO. The Austin, Texas-based business offers solar batteries for homes and electric car sales. In addition, Musk is the CEO of SpaceX, a rocket firm that NASA hired to supply the space station, and he also controls Twitter, formerly known as X social networking platform.
Trump was brought to a nearby hospital, where he is now being treated. The former president, according to his spokesperson, “will be fine.” There was blood on Trump’s ear and the side of his skull.

Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, posted a picture of Trump pumping his fist while the American flag is behind him and Secret Service agents are scurrying to keep him safe in a different post. Musk also likened Trump to 1912 presidential candidate Theodore Roosevelt, who escaped an attempted murder in 1912.

In Butler County, where the protest was held, the district attorney reported that one rallygoer was dead and another was critically ill. As confirmed by NBC News, the gunman is deceased.
Even while he hadn’t formally endorsed Trump, Musk had made it plain before Saturday’s event that he was against President Joe Biden taking office again. In a post from March, he would not support either presidential candidate.

Following their encounter at Trump’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago club earlier this year, Musk stated at Tesla’s 2024 annual shareholder meeting that he has “had some conversations” with the president. Musk said at the time, “Trump does call me out of the blue for no reason.”
