Yuga Labs Just Dropped TwelveFold NFT Collections on Bitcoin Blockchain
The popular BAYC creator Yuga Labs has recently brought new NFTs to the Bitcoin blockchain introducing a bitcoin ordinals collection called the ‘TwelveFold’ NFT collection.
This limited edition of 300 tokenized artworks is part of the TwelveFold collection and will be up for auction later this week.
According to Yuga Labs, the vision behind the NFT collection is based on time, mathematics, and the Bitcoin blockchain. The artistic team at TwelveFold created the artwork using generative 3D modeling and algorithmic construction methods.
To participate in the auction, users will need to have a self-custodial wallet that contains bitcoin to be able to bid on the said collection. An empty address to receive the inscribed digital art will also be required in case their bid is successful. This is to prevent the bidders from any risks of transferring the inscribed satoshi in the course of normal bitcoin transactions.
Yuga Labs cited the recent announcement regarding Ordinals as the reason for dropping the collection from the network. “Stepping into the Ordinals Discord a month ago felt like getting a glimpse of the 2017-era Ethereum NFT ecosystem. It’s the hype of the energy and excitement we love at Yuga” the firm stated.
This announcement has gathered different reactions from the community and some are questioning the decision to launch the project that is completely independent of the Yuga Labs ecosystem. But as per Yuga Labs, the project represents a completely different project and does not have any relation to any previous, ongoing, or future Ethereum-based Yuga projects.
